shapes


  1. use different shapes e.g. circles, rectangles etc.
  2. expand it
  3. use gradient to colour in
  4. use all the tools that are related to the width tool

pathfinder


  1. Open adobe illustrator - new 
  2. use ellipse tool to make a shape
  3. increase the "stroke"
  4. go to window and press "pathfinder"
  5. select all of the shapes 
  6. then use the pathfinder- expand 

image trace

IMAGE TRACE

  1. open Adobe Illustrator
  2. file-new
  3. place image to trace
  4. image trace panel from window menu
  5. preview
  6. experiment with slider
  7. turn off preview 
  8. expand in ption panel
  9. live paint object (option + command + X keys)
  10. press letter K for life paint bucket (drop colour)

 I used the image trace to 3 colours and it appeared like that (2nd picture).
I think there's more details on the picture that was a "vector image". You can see the teeth but in the other one you can't. However the one on the left has more quality than the other.

pattern making

 
  1. create a shape
  2. go to the object menu at the top of the screen
  3. click on pattern and make
  4. then you will see the pattern options
  5. after you're finish you click 'done'.
  6. create another shape 
  7. then go to to the swatches panel 
  8. A new pattern is added to you Swatches Panel. 
  9. then the pattern will appear on the art-board
  10. and so on...

santa

 these are the planning i have design for the project which i used pathfinder and appearance to create the shapes (tree, star, the rectangle and the snowflake)
 
     
      after designing and planning:
  1. put image for the background.
  2. i made the snowflakes from the line segment tool and the star tool
  3. i increased the stroke on the snowflakes and change it to red
  4. on the rectangle i used the appearance 
  5. i put 2 stokes on the rectangle
  6. 1 black and 1 yellow
  7. click on the yellow one
  8. click on 'stroke'
  9.  and tick on 'dashed line'

logos

The rings are attached to each others to represent the countries united. It has different colours. The bright blue colour means cleanliness, strength, dependability and coolness. Yellow it's the colour of happiness and optimism of enlightenment and creativity. Black is associated with power, fear, mystery, strength, authority, elegance, formality, aggression, rebellion and sophistication. green signifies growth, rebirth and fertility. Red is the colour of extremes. It's the colour of passionate love, seduction, violence, danger, anger and adventure.

The “V” of the Vans logo gives a prominent look to the whole design. The right end of the “V" extends further, sheltering the other letters of the logo.The Vans logo stands for the brand’s stylishness and charm thanks to the use of black colour. The Vans logo stands for the brand’s stylishness and charm thanks to the use of black colour.
 They used the ghost shape to symbolizes - now you see it and then you don’t. To make the point your Snapchat can be seen and is supposed to disappear.
